What is Stress?
Stress is anything that causes fear, anxiety, worry, apprehensions,
anger and even excitement when we face difficult situations in daily
life, whether mental or emotional. Continuous efforts to cope with such situations have adverse effects on human systems for want of relief from
mental and emotional strains and it leads to diseases. According to Dr.
Vernon Coleman, who after discussions with several doctors from various
regions, has come to the conclusion that 90-95% of the illnesses can be
blamed totally or mainly on psychological forces, 98% headaches are stress or pressure-related, a vast majority of indigestions are due to stress etc.
When Stress is harmful?
By itself stress never causes a problem. It is the way one responds to stress which leads to problems. The response is generally in three stages:
Alarm - In the face of a challenge or a threat, the nervous system is highly stimulated, heart rate increases, muscles become tense, and breathing becomes fast. The body system is now ready to fight or flee.
Resistance - If the cause producing the stress
continues the body chemistry adjust to that situation (i.e. steady flow
of adrenal and other glands secretion and in order to keep the body at a
more easily maintained level of arousal during the time needed to fight
or get away.
Exhaustion - If the challenge continues for a long time,
the resources for arousal and resistance are used. They are involuntary
physical responses to stress
for which built-in mechanisms exists in the human body. Even imagining
or thinking about an upcoming situation may trigger these.
So long as the problem is solved and we are able to rest, even the acute effects of stress
are not dangerous to a healthy person. Due to repeated occurrences of
emergencies, the person has to pass through the stages of alarm and
resistance time and again in the accumulated pressures causing
exhaustion, diseases or emotional problems, leading to fall in
performance levels, productivity and strained relations within the
family and at workplace. Some times, however, a person may even get
withdrawn into a depression. These are chronic effects of stress, which
are the signals that life style or work habits should be adjusted before worst problems emerge. Hence the importance of effective stress management.
Stress Management
A number of ways have been evolved over the years to tackle stress.
Many resort to drinking, smoking, drugs etc., which are harmful.
Relaxation techniques have been found to be more effective than others
and meditation
is the best relaxation technique. In Sahaja yoga, the regular practice
of meditation, after the self-realization, can bring necessary
additional change as the person is evolved leading to a balanced outlook
toward events and situations he has to face in daily life.

Giving up is not a solution..
Are you given up? No, lets see on the bright side. There are many people around the world try to achieve what they want, some of them achieve it and some of them is FAIL to achieve it, and most of them is already in a dilemma, here's the tip for you when you feel like you are the worse and you given up.
1)Think about people around you
this not meant to see all the people at the street walking or something like that. I mean we see the people who are worse than us, they maybe give up but you can see that some of them even worse than us is still trying and trying. This maybe could help us get back to our knee.
2)Give yourself a time
We are to busy in our job, until we find out we are still on the go, still dont have anything, so give yourself time, dont try too hard or you also will get beat down hard. Lets try something small first, and when we achieve it, be proud. People may say you crazy but its not for them, its for you! too many haters? kill them by your SMILE!
3)Focus on 1 purpose at a time
Don't get too busy trying to achieve many things in 1 time, it may not work and when you fail, maybe it will break your heart hard. Focus only 1 purpose at a time don't rush because every opportunity will come to every person in this world. Don't get too excited when you get it but plan your move. think what are you gonna do next. its just like a war, if you go out like crazy and shoot everyone then you are the one get kill first. What you need is strategy.
4)Gain your confidence
About this, how to do it? Well here's my suggestion. If you are presenter maybe you could try to practice it in front of the mirror, that's how you do it. find something that can make you excited and positive and make you confidence, maybe sport but if you suck at sport do something else like singing or anything. When your confidence is full then you could do better at what you do now.
5)Talk to someone
You down? then talk to someone. it will make your bond with that someone strong plus maybe he/she can help you find a solution. don't handle it alone. If im in trouble i will talk to my mother then i will get a supportive words and make me strong again. So maybe you can meet someone that can do that.. just never give up.
so here's my word. EVEN WE SUCK AT WE DO, AT LEAST WE TRY TO DO IT! IF SOMEONE MOCK US? TELL THEM KEEP GOING AND SOMEDAY I WILL THROW THAT WORD BACK AT YOU.

Japanese scientists explained how listening to sad
music can actually trigger positive emotions. They explained that sadness
prompted by art is not the same kind of sadness that results from a tragic
event. Indeed, the sadness prompted by art can actually feel quite nice. the scientists wrote.
Music also can have a calming effect. Certain songs can distract us while also decreasing our levels of stress hormones. But what songs are the most soothing? We asked our Huff/Post50 Facebook fans about their favorite stress-busting songs -- and we were inundated with answers.

5 Foods For Stress Reducing
Avocados
This fruit’s creamy texture can help satisfy cravings when your body is
in a state of stress, Duigan says. “Plus, all the good fat and potassium
they contain can lower your blood pressure (and therefore stress
levels).”
Berries
Studies have shown that vitamin C helps the body deal with stress, and berries deliver a healthy dose. They also provide you with fiber, which helps regulate blood-sugar levels. And blood sugar is seriously linked to stress levels.
Spinach
All dark green vegetables will fight stress by feeding your body its vitamins, and spinach is also particularly rich in magnesium. “Magnesium helps return your body to a calm state and improve your sleep,” Duigan says.
Sweet Potatoes
When our bodies are stressed and tired, they crave carbohydrates, since they deliver short-term energy boosts. “However, the sugar in carbs acts as a stress on the body,” Duigan explains. “Sweet potatoes provide a great alternative as they're a healthy carbohydrate. They taste sweet, have a low glycemic index, and are full of fiber and nutrients.” Plus they're pretty satisfying, no?
Turkey (skinless, organic)
This one’s a no-brainer if you’ve ever been to a Thanksgiving dinner and felt like you immediately needed a nap. Turkey is full of L-tryptophan, an amino acid that releases serotonin into the body, creating a calming, sleep-inducing effect. Just don’t eat too much before a big presentation.

5 Ways to Stay CALM When Overwhelmed
Take a Walk
Exercise can
be a great stress reliever in itself, as it helps you blow off steam and
releases endorphins. Taking a walk when stressed can bring you the benefits of
exercise--both short-term and long-term, and it provides the bonus of getting
you out of the stressful situation. This can provide you with some perspective
so you can return in a new frame of mind. Walking with a good friend can be a
nice way to find social support, and walking alone can provide you with some
time to think, reframe, and return with a more optimistic frame of mind
Take a Breath
If you're not in a position to leave, you can feel better right away by
practicing breathing exercises. Getting more oxygen into your body and
releasing physical tension are two ways that breathing exercises can
benefit you, and you can do them anytime or anywhere, even if your
demanding situation isn't letting up.
Take a Mental Break
If you can steal away a few minutes of peace, visualizations and guided imagery
are a wonderful way to restore peace of mind. They're easy to do, and
can relax you physically as well as mentally. With practice, you can
easily access your "happy place" and quickly feel more calm when
stressed.
Try Progressive Muscle Relaxation
Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR) is a technique where you tense and
release all of your muscle groups, leaving your body feel more relaxed
afterward. PMR is one of my favorite techniques, as it can be done by
just about anyone, and with practice you can fully release virtually all
the tension you're feeling in your body in a matter of seconds! This
can help you feel more calm and better able to handle the situations at
hand.
Reframe Your Situation
Sometimes we intensify our experience of stressful situations by the way we look at them. If you can look at your situation differently, you may be able to put it into a different perspective--one that causes you less stress! Read more about mental and emotional stress that can be caused by pessimism, type A traits, and other self-sabotaging thought patterns, and learn how you can change the way you look at things. It'll come in handy when you're stressed.
